Different cultures have different meanings for colours. For example: in India, blue is associated with the god Krishna. In China, red is symbolic of celebration, luck and prosperity, while white is symbolic of mourning and death. (Wikipedia 2006)

Be aware that in home staging you must be mindful of the diversity of buyers that will be viewing your home. Choosing neutral colours that will appeal to a wide audience of people will give you a better opportunity of impressing all that enter your house.
