Bathroom: Blah to Beautiful

Friday :: Mar 12, 2010

As one of your main selling rooms in a home, bathrooms can be a bit tricky. Some people will neglect updating this room after all other rooms are done, while some homeowners tackle them first. Is your bathroom neglected? You don’t need to do a complete renovation to get an updated look.

As always a “white glove” cleaning is essential in this room. Nobody wants to see your dirt and grime.

Keep the space organized and modern. Make sure everything is stored away neatly. Remove and store all personal products and anything that is non-decorative. Don’t forget to put the toilet seat down. People want to enjoy some quiet time away from everyday life, so this area needs to be clean, simple and provide a spa-like feel.

Replace outdated fixtures. And make sure there is adequate lighting so that your bathroom doesn’t appear dark.

Finally finish the space off with plush towels to match a neutral decor. Add some greenery or great accessory pieces to pull the finished look together.
